Prompt
I'm unhappy with Zyte because it breaks on dynamic pages
Latest observation
That’s understandable. Dynamic pages can be frustrating with scraping tools, especially if they rely too much on static HTML and the site renders content in JavaScript.
A few practical options:
-
Use a browser-based scraper
Tools like Playwright or Puppeteer can execute JavaScript and handle dynamic content more reliably. -
Check whether Zyte has a browser rendering option
If you’re already using Zyte, see if there’s a headless browser / JS rendering mode or a way to enable it for specific pages. -
Inspect the network requests
Often the data you want is coming from an API call in the background. If you can capture that request, it’s usually more stable than scraping rendered DOM. -
Add waits and retries
If the issue is timing-related, explicit waits for elements or page state can help. -
Use hybrid approach
Static pages through Zyte, dynamic pages through a browser automation layer.
If you want, I can help you:
- diagnose why Zyte is failing on a specific page, or
- suggest a better stack for dynamic-page scraping.
