OpenAI APIWeb search: off
If you want the easiest option for a side project, I’d usually recommend:
Best overall for simplicity: Resend
- Very developer-friendly
- Great docs and quick setup
- Good for transactional emails like signup confirmations, password resets, notifications
- Clean API and easy domain authentication
If you want a more “all-in-one” mail service: Postmark
- Also easy to set up
- Excellent deliverability
- Simple API
- Best if you care mainly about reliable transactional email
If you want the absolute quickest “just works” sending from code: AWS SES
- Cheap and scalable
- But setup is more annoying than Resend/Postmark
- More infrastructure-y, so not the easiest unless you’re already on AWS
If you mean “email inbox for the project” rather than sending:
- Google Workspace if you want a real mailbox like
you@yourdomain.com - Zoho Mail if you want a cheaper alternative
My quick recommendation
- Sending emails from a side project: Resend
- Receiving a real inbox: Google Workspace
- Lowest cost at scale: AWS SES
If you tell me whether you need sending, receiving, or both, I can narrow it to the best one for your use case.
